Hand-Turned Nostepinne (2 varieties)

from 10.00

Nostepinne are A traditional Scandinavian way to form center-pull yarn balls. These are hand-turned by Fog and each is formed of a single piece of wood so there are no joins or seams to work loose over time. After shaping the nostipenne are completely smoothed but otherwise left bare so that there is no oil to damage yarn or varnish to flake off with use. The handles are optimally shaped for comfort as they are based on a kitchen tool that Fog has a lot of experience making. The standard sized "nosti" is ideal for medium and heavy weight yarns while the petite is sized especially for thinner yarns.
