The Landing and Redeemed Ministries invite you to learn from Dr. Dan Sartor, PHD, LCPC, NCC On the first weekend of August. The goal of the training is to teach those assisting trafficked persons in recognizing and effectively addressing the neurochemical responses to prior stress and trauma.

Tickets are now available online for A 2nd Cup's second Local Fare for Local Freedom. Come and taste the culinary skills of several local chefs as they compete for the title of Freedom Chef.  Attendees will vote for for their favorite chef by giving donations that will help provide funds both to increase local awareness of trafficking as well as to support local after-care programs.

There will be live music, a three course meal and the chance to hear the founder of Rescue Her tell of the work the organization is doing to provide liberty to victims of local trafficking. Mercy Project and the Millican Alliance have joined together again this year to provide a fun time of outdoor activities including fishing, a giant dirt dig, and heavy equipment to explore. Mercy Project secures the freedom of children in Ghana and is helping the families become financially independent in order to break the cycle of poverty and enslavement.

They will discuss the current state of trafficking in the city and what legislative and enforcement steps are being taken to bring liberty to those affected.

This will be Naomi's third year at the Dunn Bros. Sale and she is happy to welcome Marietta as a fellow artist. Naomi is adding items made from retired saris to her standard line-up of handspun yarn as well as accessories made using a variety of techniques. Marietta will be providing handmade spa items, such as soap cozies and bath soaks, along with houseplants and herbs in handpainted containers. Information from several anti-trafficking organizations will also be available at the table.

Justice Rally: The Abolitionist Battlefield

You are invited to register through Eventbrite to attend an in depth series of workshops and outreach opportunities in the run-up to the Super Bowl.  The Justice Rally is hosted by Elijah Rising and will feature a number of speakers from both local and national ministries. There will also be a focus on survivor-led outreach to help ensure that the teaching is effective and on point.

Prior to the Rally proper, Elijah Rising will be hosting additional training and will provide their intensive workshop curriculum, Intervention and Outreach, to attendees free of charge.
