I have been wanting some bamboo for a while now. Both to make displays for the shop once it gets started and to make items for sale. Unfortunately our yard is *much* too small to make growing our own a good idea, so I figured I was out of luck. Which means I was very excited yesterday to see a FaceBook message offering already cut bamboo to anyone in the neighborhood who wanted to come get it. Son and I took the car which was a mistake since the stalks were 10-15 feet long. We got some of it into the car by cutting in half with tools the homeowner lent us, she is a very kind and patient person, and she also graciously set up a time when we could come and get the rest. I told her a bit about Knit'n Kitten and how much I appreciated her generosity. I love it when people are able to help each other like this.
