A fate worse than death

Last week the Daily Mail had an article regarding 250 Iraqi women from Mosul who chose death rather than so-called "temporary marriages" with their ISIS captors. Perhaps they had learned of the fate of the Yazidi and Nigerian women who were forced into sexual slavery (being sold repeatedly to different "husbands" under the same arrangement) which was so horrible that messages from the Yazidi pleaded with coalition forces to bomb the area where they were held captive and thus end their suffering. Clearly the Mosul women truly believed that such a future would truly be worse than death and one assumes that their families, some of whom were slaughtered with them, believed the same as they supported the decision.
