In international news

On Facebook Shared Hope International linked a recent article from The Telegraph with some good news. Lebanese authorities found and freed approximately 75 Syrian women who had been lured into Lebanon with promises of work only to be tortured and forced into prostitution. Apparently, four women had managed to escape one of the hotels the women were held captive in and notify the police of the situation. The incident has also caused authorities to start an investigation into local corruption as it is considered improbable that the ringleaders, who escaped, would have been able to operate for so long without  high-level assistance.
